Blog #4 - Ferris Bueller
There’s something extra special about photographing a horse when there’s already a friendship behind the camera. I recently had the chance to spend some time photographing my friend’s Shire × Mustang cross, Ferris Bueller, and this session was every bit as fun as his name suggests.
With the size and presence of a Shire and the personality of a Mustang, Ferris is truly one of a kind. He was the perfect subject to experiment with, and I loved capturing all of the little details that make him so special.
This session also gave me an excuse to play around with my new ULANZI ST-06S Phone Tripod Mount Holder. I’ve been wanting to incorporate more behind-the-scenes and live video into my content, so it was fun to experiment with a simple setup and see what I could create while photographing.
I’m looking forward to incorporating more live video into future sessions and bringing people along for more of the process—not just the finished photographs. There’s something special about seeing what happens behind the lens, and I’m excited to share more of that side of my work.
And, of course, a little more Ferris Bueller never hurts 🤎
